Top 3 Must Visit Ukay-ukay Stores in the Metro

Getting into fashion is quite expensive, but guess what there’s an alternative way to get into it, without spending too much and that is thrift shopping. Yes, you read that right! Thrift Shop or other known as ukay- ukay.

Ukay ukay can be found anywhere here in the metro and for you guys benefit we will tell you the 3 must visit ukay ukay stores. So gear up ukay haulers as we present you these three!

First on the list is the store Ukay dito located at Karuhatan Valenzuela city if you’re coming from Valenzuela Peoples’ Park, you can ride any jeep going to Monumento, Caloocan. If you’re not familiar to the place you can just ask the driver to drop you off at Karuhatan Jeepney Market. It will take you for about 10 minutes if there isn’t a traffic jam, but if there is, it might take you approximately 15-20 minutes. From there you’ll see an overpass and you need to cross through it. As you get down you will see a 7-eleven store, just walk straight until you reach the Cuevas bakery, across of that bakeshop you can see the Ukay Dito.

The price of the clothes in Ukay Dito ranges from 45 php to 100 php and you can even ask for a discount(tawad).

Second on the list is the ukay ukay store inside the Araneta Square Mall. Which we also visited. From the Ukay Dito, you can walk back to 7-11 store and ride a jeepney going to LRT. Though you can also ride jeepney with a placard Monumento but LRT would be a much better choice since it can drop you off exactly in front of Araneta Square, and Monumento jeep can only drop you off on SM hypermarket. You even have to cross another footbridge with it. So yeah, choose LRT jeepney, then hop off on Araneta Square. It will be 30-minute trip but it might also take you almost an hour if there’s a heavy traffic. So you might want to pack lots of your patience aside from money. By then go to 3rd floor of Araneta Square, and you will see right away the ukay ukay store named Fashion De Lite

Fashion De Lite is much bigger than Ukay Dito so there are even more varieties to choose from!

Price ranges from 20php to 200php but if they are clearing out the clothes it could even go lower.

And last but not the least the Lucio Dry Goods Ukay Ukay. It isn’t far from Fashion De Lite. The only thing you have to do is cross the road and walk straight until you see the big tarpauline of Lucio Dry Goods. So far it is the cheapest ukay ukay store and also the biggest one among the three. Those were the pros, cons though is that it is kinda humid inside and crowded. They’ve got only one fitting room and the door is even so small, that you can see people changing from outside.
